How to Install Marine Grade Plywood

Determine how much marine grade plywood will be needed for installation using a tape measure and set a guide to use when measuring these details on your subject (for example - boat or dock). Once this has been completed lay down the intial sheet of plywood down at the first corner of the the project. Draw in pencil an outline on the plywood of exactly how it needs to be cut.

Use a jigsaw to cut the Marine Plywood.  Follow along the grain lines to ensure a smooth edge and cut. Once complete lay the plywood into the front where it will be installed. Set it up against  the front and verify that it fits properly

Insert 3-inch exterior grade wood screws through the plywood and into the supports. Space out the screws every foot or so and continue drilling until the plywood has been secured tightly. Then level and ensure the material is flush with the second piece of plywood and install it in the same manner. Using a caulk gun run a bead of waterproof caulk over the seam between the two pieces.
